May I help you? はお店での決まり文句です。
日本語で「いらっしゃいませ」と訳されることがありますが、
「何かお手伝いできますか？＝何をお探しですか？」といった
ニュアンスに近いです。
"May I help you?" と聞かれたら、
"Yes, please." か "No, thank you." で答えましょう。
